more snow fell in the night,
woke this morning to a wonderful sight.
snow covering everywhere,
then looked to the sky i did stare,
thinking of our angels far above,

I remember it soo well. l followed you all through. The night you played jimmy white l honestly though you would lose ( l was out that night and didnt expect you to win) l got home and heard you had got through!!!!!....Then l watched you "beat" the ray reardon.... l was so happy and delighted for you... and l can vividly remember you calling your daughter up for the celebrations.... l had tears in my eyes that night...you were and always will be "the peoples champion"!!!! its a shame what happened at the very end of your life..always in my memory alex!!!!!! love you.xxxx

Simply The Best

Hi Alex

You were Simply The Best snooker player to ever play the game. Exciting, mesmerizing, unpredicatbale, entertaining, frustrating - you had it all.

Even now, I watch vids of you and the same goose pimples come up, the sense of anticipation wondering what piece of magic you would pull off next. I punch the air and shout "Yes!" when you win!

Thank you for the hours of wonderful enjoyment you gave to me and to thousands all over the World.

May you rest in peace - a true legend.

love always, Jane xxx

Memories of you... Alex a great snooker player
Will stay in my heart forever,
Memories of you...
I will always treasure.
Memories of you...

Memories of you...
help me through the day,
Memories of you...
will never fade away.
Memories of you...
are beautiful and dear,
They seem to grow still brighter
with every passing year.

A GUARDIAN ANGEL

Flew down from above,
To teach me a lesson
About the powers of love.
She whispers to me,
Take a hold of my hand,
There are so many things
I wish you to understand.
About the powers of love,
And all it can do,
To someone who needs
To share it with you.
A pat on the back,
A kind smile on your face,
Can make someone's life,
A much brighter place.
It doesn't take much,
To show someone you care,
To give them the love,
God gave you to share.
So please keep in mind,
All the powers you possess,
To grace someone's life,
When they're in distress.
You've been put on this earth
To bestow the powers of love,
And with those final words,
She disappeared up above.
love always gail & carla.XXX

A National Treasure

His opponent took their shot and the balls rolled... Others would walk around the table and consider their next move, they would chalk their cue and spend some time working it all out.

Not Alex, he knew what had to be done and went for it. WACK - in, WACK - in, WACK -in. He did, live on TV, want the movies would have 50 re takes.

A genuine genius.

I had no interest in snooker untill I watched you play.I went to Sheffield to see you, I bought a snooker table and learnt how to play, all because of YOU.The tournaments are nothing without you, and I no longer watch them .I felt for your happiness and your torment,it is all part of being a very special person and you were the BEST, in snooker and in life.
